I have finally decided on the campaign brief for my last module. With my passion for bringing emotion, feeling and meaning to my work I feel it is the perfect one for me.
I have been researching both charities Samaritans and Oxfam, browsing their aims, campaigns and achievements, in order to effectively raise awareness of the things these brilliant charities do, day to day.
Samaritans - "A place for hope"
- There when people need someone to talk to (problems, something on their mind)
- Open for everyone (Via Email, Call, Text, Letter, Face to Face)
- #TalkToUs
Help with most commonly;
Mental health (Depression - Suicide)
Those suffering emotional pain
Those who are alone (Samaritans the only person they talk too)
Oxfam - "Make Poverty History"
- Aid overseas in emergency (fighting floods)
- Poverty "In a world full of resources poverty isn't inevitable" (Clean water wells)
- Gender Equality (2/3 poor people women, forced early marriage + sexual abuse, girls no education)
- Warm clothes to refugees
- Ebola
- Stopping fungus killing coffee plants
- Climate Change
- Refugee Crisis
